The Blocker — Privacy Policy

Everything The Blocker does happens on your device.

No accounts. You never sign up or log in.
No tracking. The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and does not collect usage data.
Your rules stay with you. Sites, categories, blocklists, schedules and the allowlist are stored in the app's private container on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync (Pro), they are copied to your own private iCloud Key-Value store and nowhere else.
Blocklist subscriptions are downloaded directly from the list URL you chose (for example StevenBlack/hosts on GitHub). That server sees a normal download request from your device; The Blocker sends it nothing else.
Safari content blocker. The extension gives Safari a rule list. Apple's design means the extension cannot see which pages you visit.
Activity stats. The optional Safari web extension ("The Blocker Stats") counts blocked navigations to show your Activity tab. Those counts stay on your device.
Purchases. The Blocker Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. The app only receives a signed receipt saying whether Pro is active; it never sees your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage them in Settings ▸ Apple Account ▸ Subscriptions.
Face ID / Touch ID is handled by iOS. The app only learns whether the unlock succeeded.
